Users & roles
AnyΒ account OwnersΒ & Managers can invite other users to join their organization.
To do so head to https://app.echoeshq.com/admin/invites.
Invites have an expiry date.
At any time, OwnersΒ & Managers can revoke an invitation to a user. Click on the garbage can icon next to the invite. Once revoked, the invite disappears from the list and the user can no longer accept the invitation.
There are 2 types of invites:
- Personal
- Shared
Fill the Email and Role of the invitee and click send.
The invitation email is sent to the user atΒ the specified Email. From there the user can signup and create its Echoes Account.
A shared invite is useful for giving access to Echoes via a public Slack channel for instance.
By clicking on the Get invite link button a unique sharable invite link is generated.
A maximum of 5 links can be generated.
Every user clicking on the link will be able to signup and access the Echoes Account with the default Contributor role.
Echoes holds 3 specific roles:
- Owner
- Manager
- Contributor
A user cannot set its own role.
Owner
An Owner can promote a user from:
- Contributor to Manager
- Manager to Owner
Manager
A Manager can promote a user from Contributor to Manager
Contributor
A Contributor cannot edit any role.
