# Purpose

Echoes can connect to your Opsgenie and monitor your incidents lifecycle in order to produce some metrics such as the [Mean time to recovery](docId\:lGfIZtDECxM2tQ2KurlIp).

# Installation

You need an Opsgenie API key. Go to the [Opsgenie API Key Management page](https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/api-key-management/) and click **Add new API key**.

## Connect to Echoes

Go to Echoes's integrations page and click on the Opsgenie integration card

1. Enter the Opsgenie API key that was just generated.
2. Change the **region** if different from US.

   After configuring the Opsgenie API key, you need to configure an outgoing webhook so Echoes can correctly sync incident states between Opsgenie and Echoes.

3. Copy the webhook address provided by Echoes and head to [https://app.opsgenie.com/settings/integration/add/Webhook/](https://app.opsgenie.com/settings/integration/add/Webhook/)

1. Click on **Add custom headers&#x20;**&#x6F;n the webhook integration settings page.
2. Add the **Payload-Signature&#x20;**&#x68;eader with the secret provided by Echoes as value.
